App development and ongoing further development
SPRYLAB was asked to add an Android tablet version to the product portfolio between the print and high-end editions. The aim was to avoid any additional editorial work and still serve all existing tablet formats.
The particular challenge with Android tablets is that they have screen sizes of 7-10 inches, different aspect ratios and different functionality.
SPRYLAB solved this by using different templates that can be dynamically filled with current content. The newspaper style has been retained, providing an overview of the topics and brief summaries of the articles. The app seamlessly combines the PDF edition with interactive elements and current content from the website.
During the consultation, SPRYLAB provided the necessary Android knowledge and ensured a short implementation time.
