Senior Front-end Developer (all genders welcome)

Purple is our digital publishing solution for the DACH region and beyond. The software supports well-known publishers such as Axel Springer, Bauer Media and OM Medien in the digital transformation of their editorial processes and in growing their reach. With an innovative product range, from a cloud-based headless CMS through modern news apps and multichannel publishing to AI-supported newsroom tools, Purple enables its customers to succeed sustainably in the digital age. Purple is a flexible solution that can be integrated into existing systems either as a complete package or in modules.

Do you want to do more than write code, and become part of a creative team with flat hierarchies that grows together on interesting projects? We are looking for you as a frontend developer (all genders) with at least 3 years of experience, to build user-centred websites and apps together, with plenty of team spirit, a modern tech stack and a good deal of passion.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Building and maintaining high-performance, responsive web applications and apps
• Working with product management, UX and UI designers and other technical roles
• Contributing to every part of the development process, from concept through design and development to testing
• Ensuring the quality of the frontend code and of every aspect of the development process

WHY YOU

• A completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist, a degree in computer science or information technology, or comparable IT training
• Or: are you a career changer with demonstrable project experience and a real enthusiasm for frontend development? Then we look forward to your application too.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript, HTML and CSS or SCSS
• Very good knowledge of responsive design
• Good knowledge of web standards and browser compatibility
• The ability to build maintainable solution structures and architectures
• Nice to have: knowledge of design tools (Figma, Adobe XD) and design system concepts, as well as knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles
