Senior Web Developer (all genders welcome)

At SPRYLAB we have been driving bold ideas and pioneering software solutions forward since 2007. As an IT service provider we guide large and mid-sized companies such as Sodexo, the Basketball Bundesliga and the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training into the digital present.

Purple is our digital publishing solution for the DACH region and beyond. The software supports well-known publishers in the digital transformation of their editorial processes and in growing their reach. With an innovative product range, from a cloud-based headless CMS through modern news apps and multichannel publishing to AI-supported newsroom tools, Purple enables its customers to succeed sustainably in the digital age.

Together we want to accelerate our growth further, and for that we now need your support. We are looking for a senior web developer (all genders) who will use their know-how and passion to help make our customers even more successful with our publishing platform Purple.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• As part of the app and web team you are responsible for developing our publishing platform Purple further
• You work with modern frameworks such as Angular or React
• You build frontend architectures with TypeScript, HTML and (S)CSS and modern development standards within the team
• You work closely with product, design and backend teams to keep improving our systems
• You safeguard system stability through performance optimisation and scalability of the services
• You ensure code quality through tests and clean development processes
• You contribute to technical decisions and to developing the architecture further

WHY YOU

• You have at least 5 years of experience in web development
• You have solid knowledge of HTML, (S)CSS and JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience with modern frameworks such as Angular or React
• Experience developing responsive web applications and mobile web
• Ideally knowledge of SEO and web accessibility
• You know agile development methods (SCRUM and Kanban)
• You have a grasp of the fundamentals such as version control (Git), code reviews, test coverage, continuous integration and continuous delivery
• You are familiar with the concepts of clean code
• You like working in a team and are keen to share what you know and can do as an equal
• You communicate confidently in English and German

An advantage:

• Experience with web tracking and analytics
• Knowledge of DevOps and operations (Kubernetes, CI/CD, for example)
• Experience with test-oriented development (unit tests, TDD, Playwright, for example)
• Knowledge of app development (Swift, Kotlin or cross-platform, for example)
